I'll Be Your Pessemistic Adversary

What if I were to tell you that everything you believe in… everything you stand for is wrong? If I (not knowing either what you believe nor what you stand for) tell you (and believe with all heart and actuality) that whatever you think is true, is actually a falsehood… how would you respond? Would you be angry with me (maybe straying from the dogma of the very belief you are fighting for)? … Or would you just try and prove me wrong? I want to hear why you think that whatever it is that you believe (weather it be God, Nihilism, sex, drugs, money, yourself, love, etc.) is true… So, you can leave a comment with any type of response that your little heart desires... and I will be there to prove you wrong. Talk to you soon.
The few,
The proud,
The Hyperborean. (Tyler)

You can't say that anything thing is "true" or "false." There is no "answer." Well, there might be an answer(although I like to think that there's not), but as of right now the "answer" is elusive. Beleifs therefore need to be looked at not as right and wrong but as frivolous and propuseful. Productive and stagnating. The question that must be posed is, "Does this set of beliefs allow man to acheive greatness, on an individual as well collective basis?" If your set of beliefs are preventing you from basically acheiving the "Ubermensch,"(and in turn preventing society from acheiving greatness) then they aren't necassarily false(for my existence itself COULD be a complete fallacy) but they are of no worth.

Damnit Brendan!
I did not want YOU to respond...
I do not actually believe what I wrote.
I was playing Devil's Advocate and just simply trying to get people to stand up for what they believe in (regardless of what that may be).
I wanted to hear what everyone had to say about their beliefs, if they had any, and how far they would go to deffend what they think is true.
Sometimes, the only way that you can get people to speak out is by striking a nerve (and religion/beliefs seem to hit that nerve every time).
So... yeah.
Haha, did you really think that I was so naive as to actually think that I know what is absolute truth and that what everyone else believes is death?

What does marriage mean necassarily anyways, that you have a piece of
that says, "Yup, you're married now you can fuck." Pardon my language.

This question piques my mind quite regularly...
So, my belief is that marriage is not obtained by a ceremony and a peice of paper... marriage is obtained by true love and a committment (only because those go hand in hand, true love connot negate committment).
I also do not believe that God considered marriage as a peice of paper... people get married on a daily basis who do not love each other and end up split up within a matter of months.
I believe that God views marrage in the same way that I do (although my interpertation of marriage was not based solely on the fact that I believed that God viewed it this way... I made that decision after I made my perception).

More than any other person involved in my life... I love her as a person, as a sister (kinda weird, I know), and I am very much IN LOVE with her...

So you're love her a lot, obviously. Would it be a sin to have sex with her?

No, I do not think so.

(I was trying to make that obvious through my perception of marriage... apparently I failed, lol)

But that does not mean that we have or do...

i concur, i also belive that all "marriage" is, is just somthing somone is going to put in a frame and hang it up. are those rings and that certificate a token of your love, why can't love be a token of your love. or is that ring on your finger just something to say dont hit on me "im married" your mariage can be taken of and put away or can be ripped up. true love is what you make of it what you feel when you see that person and touch that person. so therefore i also concur with the statement that it would not be a sin to have sex with a girl friend or boyfriend. i know that in my heart(iv thought this many times through) that i know i want my boyfriend to be my first b/c he is the person that i know would appreciate me for me. he is everything to me and having that ring or that paper is just a bouns and a real big meaningful party. i just hate how mariage can so easily be erased and act like it never happened. so i belive that love is a commitment to another person and a marriage is just somthing to confirm it. if getting married wasnt such a big deal now a days then would we have ridduclous bachlor and bachloret parties with strippers and a beer or have wemon running away a few days before. people are scard of that cold hard document when truly it should be inside of you. wow that kinda got off topic so ya....

i think you enjoy being right most of the time.
I guess you could say you feel sorrow at intellectually beating up mindless minions of society...but i think deep down you kinda like it.
